How Do We Calculate Your Expert Level?

Your Expert Level shows how much knowledge or experience you have in a specific area. It’s based on verified credentials, skills, or hands-on experience.

Think of it like this: your level reflects how closely your expertise matches a topic. For example, someone working on a farm (with verified credentials) could have a Level 4 in caring for domestic animals, but only a Level 1 in something like baking cakes, since they aren’t a professional baker.

In short, your Expert Level highlights your verified skills and experience in each area—it’s unique to you and what you know.

1. Expert Levels

   1. L4 - Insider

      A person with verified experience working for or being affiliated with an organization. Validation can include badges, pay stubs, company email, or other proof.

   2. L3 - Accredited

      A person with credentials in a specific subject area. This level is verified through degrees, certifications, or equivalent professional experience.

   3. L2 - Experienced

      A person with confirmed skills or expertise gained through life experiences. Examples include raising children, running a marathon, or undergoing significant personal challenges like medical treatments.

   4. L1 - Located

      A person with a verified identity and location. This is validated through a government-issued ID, driver’s license, or similar documents, establishing them as a local expert in a specific region.

   5. L0 - Not validated

      A user whose identity or expertise hasn’t been verified. This person does not hold any trust level.
